You’ve probably seen by now the interview with Meghan Markle, in which she reveals that she’s not, in fact, doing so hot with this whole public scrutiny, new motherhood, and new wife gig.
I’ve only tackled two of those things at once, and that was hard enough.
I, like many, many other people around the world, were moved by her vulnerability and the heartbreaking look in her eyes during those moments, and thankfully, women’s and LGBTQ rights activist Greg Hogben has given us #WeLoveYouMeghan with which to pool our support and offer solidarity through the internet.
Jesus. This just broke my heart. pic.twitter.com/13KsROklv9

Here are some of the most heartwarming responses…
15. A picture is worth a thousand words.
they criticized her for holding her own baby bump, wearing nail polish, eating avocados, closing her own car door, having a baby shower, the way she held her own baby ALL while heavily pregnant and then being a new mom with a newborn: she doesn’t deserve this #WeLoveYouMeghan pic.twitter.com/wIOaaB82Jc

14. It’s terrifying to be honest when you feel like they’re going to use it against you.
I so admire #MeghanMarkle for being honest, open and vulnerable about the struggles she’s faced as a new mother and very public figure. #WeLoveYouMeghan pic.twitter.com/mWpFOwVeLk

13. It activated our protective instincts in the blink of an eye.
As a fellow human,
As a fellow woman,

10. Every human being deserves better.
Imagine doing your best to make the world better by helping communities, charities and people, and in turn you get a whole ass cult dedicated to trash and threaten you, motivated by the press to break you apart? This angel deserves better #WeLoveYouMeghan pic.twitter.com/ts8fDZiKUt

I met Meghan when she visited Birmingham during her engagement to prince Harry & she was the sweetest, most polite woman who seemed so humbled to see us there. She said thank u countless times it was so endearing. Meg, u have Harry & Archie, u have EVERYTHING ❤— Aly Brendan (@AlyBrendan) October 18, 2019

2. She should still be having fun.
I am sickened by all of this. I’m just so tired of the hate, despite the fact that she really is an amazing woman who has done nothing wrong. You can see the pain in her eyes and how she’s holding back her tears. I don’t like this. At. All. #WeLoveYouMeghan pic.twitter.com/2wimlIps7g

1. It’s okay to not be okay.
Thank you Meghan Markle, for every new mum, for every woman who is expected to always be ok..
For every woman who has has answered ‘fine’ when asked how they are. For every woman who hasn’t been fine and who hasn’t felt they could tell anyone.
Thank you. #WeLoveYouMeghan https://t.co/hUwaeo6680

Please, remember that even people on television or who wear crowns in public are still human beings at heart.
Don’t use the anonymity of your keyboard to say things about or to them you wouldn’t have the guts to say to their faces.
