How One Elevator Technician Got His Revenge After an Entitled Encounter

The world can seem so chock full of entitled people sometimes that it’s a wonder there’s any room left for the rest of us to exist and roll our eyes at them.

They’re everywhere, expecting something for nothing, asking for favors and then making demands, asking to see the manager…you know the sort I mean.

And this elevator technician decided one day that he’d reached his limit.

He sets the scene, saying that he just needed to do some rewiring and that the elevator would be down for about an hour – which is exactly what he told the middle-aged woman who came in asking if the elevator was broken again.

The woman refuses to carry her one bag of groceries up two flights of stairs, and instead sits down to wait.

He was packing his things to move to a different spot, and she tried to use the elevator. He told her she couldn’t, that it wasn’t safe, and he was going up a floor to keep working.

AND THEN SHE PROCEEDED TO USE THE ELEVATOR AS SOON AS IT WAS OUT OF SIGHT.

He stopped it, yelled down to tell her she’d made a mess and he didn’t know how long it would take to fix, which pissed her off even more.

The woman’s daughter encouraged him to make her suffer, so he made her wait in the dark for awhile before sending the elevator back to the ground floor.

I’d like to think she learned her lesson, but that remains to be seen.
