I’ve always found the term “cheating” to be a little strange as applied to relationships.

The implications seems to be that becoming romantically involved with someone is a game? And that there’s a goal that you’re both competing toward? And tagging in an extra player is…a cheap way to get there, maybe?

The metaphor really falls apart. I’m sure I’ve got the etymology of that usage all wrong and someone in the comments will let me know. In the meantime, here are 10 real confessions from people who know all about doing the cheating.
