The great news is that there’s been a lot of progress made in the last few decades for LGBTQ+ rights, not to mention a wider general acceptance, understanding, and tolerance.

It astonishes me that at this point, even America’s most far-right social conservatives generally have to at least pretend to be pro-LGBT because the clock has just plain run out on being a public figure who still openly harbors that bigotry.

But of course, it’s not all gravy. The problems are far from fixed. And tons of kids face, among other things, a reluctance or an inability to share the truth about themselves even with their own parents.
